Half Liter Red Seltzer Bottle from the 1930's

A sojourn into the days before plastic. Manufacturers of soda water appeared in Argentina in the early 1900’s and chose engraved colored glass for their product. They picked up the bottles from homes and restaurants daily and refilled them. Originals from pre-1940’s Argentina, the dates (1914-1935) are stamped on the metal neck of each bottle. These beautiful half litre gems have original metal spouts with colorful glass bases molded from the original 1940s cast that was found in an old seltzer factory in Argentina.
